Update on Court Business as at 14th April 2020

Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service have released an update on the workings of the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts during the COVID-19 pandemic today (14th April 2020). It can be found here. The summary for most family law business, is cut and pasted below. 

Court of Session (Outer House): 'we are increasing our capability for judges and clerks in the Outer House to work remotely and will be issuing further information later this week on restarting priority areas of Outer House business using telephone conference facilities.'

Sheriff Court: 'Civil business in the Sheriff Courts is currently limited to urgent and necessary cases during the lockdown period. The courts are making use of telephone conferencing to support urgent business and continue to encourage the use of written submissions.'
