Seonaid Cochrane, Senior Solicitor
Seonaid is a Senior Solicitor with SKO. She joined SKO in 2021 from a large multi-disciplinary firm, where she began her career six years earlier.
Seonaid has a background in commercial law and worked in contentious construction before joining SKO to specialise in family law. She is an experienced litigator and has represented clients in complex, high-value commercial cases in the Court of Session as well as actions in the Sheriff Court. She has also regularly advised and represented clients as part of alternative dispute resolution processes including arbitration, adjudication and mediation.
Seonaid obtained a first class degree in law with European Legal Studies and Gaelic from the University of Aberdeen and completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Strathclyde University. She undertook family law at honours level and her dissertation focused on relocation of resident parents. Seonaid sits as a panel member on the Glasgow Children’s Panel and is a member of the Scottish Young Lawyers Association.
