Gillian was one of the experts quoted in the article which explored the tension between fertility treatment and centuries old succession rules. Gillian is quoted in relation to the law of succession to peerages in the UK, her area of particular expertise. She notes, ‘In my view, the law of succession to titles is overdue a reform: the current principles are out of step with modern society, in relation to modern family creation, fertility treatment and also equality.’
