Rachael Kelsey participates in European Commission Stakeholder Meeting

14th December 2021

The Commission's project on the Recognition of Parenthood within the European Union held its Stakeholder Meeting today. Rachael Kelsey was one of around 20 invitees who discussed the existing problems with the recognition of parenthood and then the possible solutions, which include a new Regulation in this area.

You can find some detail about the project, a new case in this area- the 'Baby Sarah' case- published today, and the ongoing project being undertaken by the Hague Conference on Private International Law on parentage and surrogacy (which Rachael has also participated in as an Observer) here.
