Iona Barrie , Trainee Solcitor

Iona joined SKO as a Trainee Solicitor in August 2025.

Iona has her law degree and Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh. She focussed on family and personal law Honours subjects and her dissertation was on Surrogacy and Legal Parentage. During her LLB degree Iona studied for a year at Utrecht University in the Netherlands where she studied International Private Law and Fundamental Rights in Europe. 

Iona spent a year volunteering at a hospital in Tanzania and has conversational Swahili.
